Air Force ROTC

With no experience at all, the Air Force ROTC program gave me 25 hours in a light single-engine airplane. No photography allowed! But we spent a day planning a bomb run on the Purdue campus just for fun.

Operation Third Lieutenant: Take a 20 year old kid with no flight experience and put him into the back seat of an F-4 Phantom II, and repeat five times.

My years as a pilot for the 89th Airlift Wing do not have photos with them. Photography seemed to be discouraged, I suppose because of the nature of what we did, flying around people from the White House and Congress.
